Two more coronavirus deaths recorded in Yorkshire hospitals

Two more people have died with coronavirus in Yorkshire hospitals.

The latest NHS figures show that in the past 24 hours, two hospitals in the region have recorded new COVID-19 deaths – including the first death announced at a Leeds hospital in 17 days.

Across England, a total of 22 deaths have been recorded at hospitals in the past 24 hours. Patients were aged between 54 and 93 years old. All patients had known underlying health conditions and their families have been informed.

This brings the total number of deaths recorded in English hospitals to 29,125.

Across Yorkshire, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases currently stands at 29,189.
