Total Covid deaths in Yorkshire hospitals as infection rates decrease

There has been one coronavirus death recorded by Yorkshire hospitals in the past 24 hours.

The patient died at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which brings the total number of Covid deaths in Yorkshire to 2,592.

Across England, a further seven people who had tested positive for coronavirus have died.

This brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in English hospitals to 29,531.

Of those deaths recorded in the last day, the patients were between 77 and 90-years-old and all had known underlying health conditions.

Yesterday also saw one coronavirus death in Yorkshire, also recorded by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Meanwhile, infection rates across Yorkshire continue to fall – with just two places in the county seeing their rates rise over the last week.

These were Leeds, and Richmondshire in North Yorkshire.

Despite weeks spent as Yorkshire’s Covid hotspot, Bradford has seen its infection rate steadily decrease over the past week, having dropped from 57.2 to 42.1.
