The locations of the 190 new coronavirus cases in Yorkshire

The locations of 190 newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Yorkshire have been revealed.

The latest figures, published by Public Health England, showed that Bradford recorded the highest number of new cases in the past 24 hours, with 57.

Leeds was not far behind with 44 new cases.

It was the biggest daily jump in Yorkshire in almost a week and it means the new total number of cases confirmed in the county since the start of the outbreak now stands at 35,348.

The news comes after it was revealed there have been no new coronavirus deaths recorded in Yorkshire hospitals for the past two days.

Figures released by the NHS today showed that the region’s death toll still stands at 2,594.

Nationally, a further seven people have died of the virus. That takes the national death toll to 29,570.

  • Leeds – was 4,565 now 4,609 (+44)

  • Wakefield – was 2,122 now 2,127 (+5)

  • North Yorkshire – was 2,741 now 2,751 (+10)

  • Sheffield – was 4,683 now 4,711 (+28)

  • Barnsley – was at 2,134 now 2,137 (+3)

  • Bradford – was 6,302 now 6,359 (+57)

  • Calderdale – was 1,195 now 1,208 (+13)

  • Rotherham – was 2,183 now 2,187 (+4)

  • Kirklees – was 3,046 now 3,059 (+13)

  • York – was 970 now 975 (+5)

  • Doncaster – was 2,078 now 2,083 (+5)

  • East Yorkshire – was 1,712 now 1,714 (+2)
