The location of 88 newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Yorkshire

A further 88 people in Yorkshire have been infected with coronavirus, the latest figures show.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the county to 28,769.

Bradford saw the biggest jump with 22 new cases of coronavirus, followed by Kirklees with 14 newly infected people.

The only area which did not record any new cases was Hull.

Earlier today NHS England confirmed that two more patients who tested positive for the disease died in Yorkshire hospitals.

Across the country a further 22 people, who tested positive for the virus, have died.

This brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,013.
