The 4 Yorkshire hospitals to record new coronavirus deaths

Four more people have sadly passed away from COVID-19 in Yorkshire hospitals.

The four deaths were recorded between 4pm on Thursday (July 2) and 4pm on Friday (July 3), each one at a different hospital.

Across England, the number of additional deaths recorded in hospitals in the past 24 hours was 39, bringing the total to 28,871.

An NHS statement read: “A further 39 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,871.

“Patients were aged between 45 and 99 years old. All patients had known underlying health conditions.

“Their families have been informed.”

Yesterday, Yorkshire Live reported the previous day’s figures (between 4pm on Wednesday, July 1, and 4pm on Tuesday, July 2) were the first since April to feature no recorded deaths at hospitals within Yorkshire.
