Location breakdown as Yorkshire records over 100 new COVID-19 cases

More than 100 new cases of coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Yorkshire.

107 lab-confirmed cases of the virus in the UK were recorded in the past 24 hours.

Bradford had the biggest increase with 35 new cases compared to yesterday, followed by Sheffield which had 20 new cases and Calderdale with 10.

Across the country, there were 767 confirmed cases and 61 deaths were recorded today (Saturday 25 July).

Confirmed cases of coronavirus in Yorkshire:

  • Leeds – was 3,743 now 3,751 (+8)

  • Wakefield – was 1,802 now 1,807 (+5)

  • North Yorkshire – was 2,550 now 2,552 (+2)

  • Sheffield – was 4,161 now 4,181 (+20)

  • Barnsley – was 1,966 now 1,968 (+2)

  • Bradford – was 4,745 now 4,780 (+35)

  • Calderdale – was 785 now 795 (+10)

  • Rotherham – was 2,002 now 2,007 (+5)

  • Kirklees – was 2,335 now 2,351 (+16)

  • York – still 918

  • Doncaster – was 2,018 now 2,019 (+1)

  • East Riding of Yorkshire – was 1,648 now 1,649 (+1)

  • Hull – was 1,563 now 1,565 (+2)

In total, there have been 41,143 deaths from coronavirus in England.
