Karma Dance: Mind The Dance, a Triple Bill – at The Carriageworks Theatre on 6 October

Karma Dance invites you to embark on an extraordinary journey of artistic exploration with “MIND THE DANCE.” This captivating triple bill delves deep into themes of individuality, multiculturalism, and the eloquent language of silence.*

Here’s what you can expect:

HOMO “HOme to my MOther”: A poignant and auto-ethnographical experience that courageously navigates the terrain of mental health struggles, intertwined with the deeply personal story of surviving childhood abuse. It also pays homage to the tender and unbreakable bond between a child and their mother, offering a unique perspective on resilience and healing.

HINDIviduality: Unraveling the essence of human existence, this performance boldly challenges societal norms that categorize individuals based on gender, color, sexuality, and language. It invites the audience to question these norms and explore the authentic nature of our shared humanity.

Silenced: An introspective journey into the hidden symphony of inner sounds, stemming from the choreographer Zoobin Surty‘s battle with hearing loss. Through a captivating fusion of movement and music, “Silenced” invites the audience to encounter the world from a unique perspective, where silence carries a profound and transformative resonance.
