Further 145 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Yorkshire

A further 145 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across Yorkshire.

The biggest spike was seen in Bradford, which 57 newly confirmed cases.

Bradford is among the areas in West Yorkshire that has recently had tighter lockdown restrictions enforced, alongside Calderdale and Kirklees.

The second biggest increase in cases was seen in Leeds, with 23 newly confirmed cases.

Sheffield saw an increase of 16 cases, while Calderdale had an increase of 15.

This comes as three coronavirus deaths have been recorded by hospitals in Yorkshire over the past day.

One of these deaths was recorded by Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, and two were recorded by The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.

Across wider England, a further nine people who had tested positive for the virus have died.
