Taking Steps:

a farce by Alan Ayckbourn

Picture the scene. A property tycoon, his solicitor, builder and house vendor, plus his frustrated dancer wife, her brother and his fiancée, all crossing paths in an old Victorian house one hectic night.  Each character is immersed in a different personal struggle, with much running up and down stairs, in and out of rooms. And the action takes place in a highly ingenious setting, where all the stairs, rooms and passages are staged on a single level.
