Who: Who put together the event?

Shout Out UK (SOUK) is running in partnership with the Local Government Association (LGA) a youth leadership event focused on solution-making with local issues.

Who is it for? Who should attend?

This event is for 16-25 year olds who are interested in developing their campaigning and activism skills, leadership and public speaking and policy development and awareness.

What can guests expect to get out of the event?

You can expect a fun, educational and interactive day. This hackathon will equip you with key campaign, lobbying and policy skills.

You will leave this event having developed and created solutions to making sure youth voice is head with big local issues such as: Climate change, mental health, homelessness and Gender Based Violence.

Shout Out UK will work hard to take all of your solutions and promote them to the LGA and to the APPG (All Party Parliamentary Group) on Political Literacy

What are the event activities?

Political Literacy Quiz:

Take part in the “Political Literacy” quiz. How much do you really know about local and national politics?

The participant who gets the highest score in the quiz will also leave with a gift!

Hackathon to build solutions:

Take part in activities to create solutions to issues you care about! Develop solutions to making sure young people’s voices are heard!

Where will the event be held?

The event will take place in leeds, but there will also be an option for you to come along online!
