Leeds based, Plantfood are back performing at Belgrave Music Hall and bringing all the noise. After their first UK tour in November 2022, Plantfood are starting off the new year releasing their 4th studio single, ‘Six Dinner Sid’, and celebrating this with a headline gig at one of Leeds’ favourite venues with support from the very talented Pink Familee and Rushbonds. 

Plantfood are a Leeds based jazz fusion band with members coming from a variety of different backgrounds. They use this and their love of a variety of genres to create hard hitting grooves and energy in their tunes. They fuse jazz with genres from classical to contemporary dance music whilst adding their own twist. The summer of 2022 found Plantfood playing a variety of UK festivals and releasing their live session ep with live session videos featuring Sunkissed Child and India Newland. They then completed 8 dates in their first UK tour in November 2022, covering cities from Berwick to Norwich. After the success of their UK tour the only way for Plantfood to go is up! Manchester based, Pink Familee will be supporting Plantfood for the second time at this event and it will be their debut show in Leeds. Pink Familee are a seven piece Jazz/Funk Fusion band who aim to make the complex and rich qualities of jazz music more accessible. Their music takes influence from traditional jazz from the 1960’s whilst also creating a more contemporary sound. (Instagram: @pinkfamilee).

Rushbonds are also based in Leeds and are an alternative soul band that merge jazz with their own independent sound. Taking influence from bands such as Hiatus Kaiyote and Moon Child, they conjoin five individual personalities into one coherent sound. Emerging from Leeds Conservatoire, Rushbonds have been creating a big impact in the local music scene. (Instagram: @rushbonds).
