Bradford jumps above 6,000 with 131 new coronavirus cases across Yorkshire

Bradford has seen 38 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the city’s total to 6,016 – and above 6,000 for the first time.

In total, 131 new coronavirus cases have been recorded across Yorkshire in the past 24 hours.

Several areas saw notable increases in cases in the past 24 hours, with Leeds recording 19, Kirklees recording 15, and Wakefield recorded 14.

On the other end of the scale, Doncaster recorded 0 new cases in the last 24 hours, remaining at 2,068 cases in total.

After two days with no deaths, Yorkshire has also recorded a single coronavirus death in the past 24 hours, at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

This brought the region’s total deaths from Covid-19 to 2,590.
